Shifting in low rpms

I have a 2012 shelby gt all stock and I usually shift at like 2 rpms to get better gas mileage when im not trying to go fast and my pops was saying its bad for the car is that true?

Not at 2k rpm. I shift by speed and I'm usually doing about 1800 rpm. I'm getting 20 for straight city.

My shift points are 11, 19, 29, 39. Also if you are looking for good gas mileage do u have a cold air intake?

No its not bad for the engine- we arent in the carburator age... The shift points can be programmed- im at 1800 for shift to 2nd, 20 mpg in city

No cold air intake I just got the car 3 weeks ago and ive drove it like 4 times since I work far from home. But thanks for the reply ! Appreciate it!
