And be ready to buy too. If you get financing before hand and have the money ready you can usually get them to make it happen. I pretty much got raped when I bought my first car. I had no idea what I was doing and I ended up paying for a bunch of bull ****.

Not sure about that. Valet last night couldn't stop talking about my Shelby in a lot full of jags, Porsche, and BMW's. Shelby rules IMHO

Nice, now that's a good feeling. The Shelby is a beast and for everything you get, it's a great value. When you think about it the 911 is an arm and a leg, Jaguar is mostly looks though they are coming around, and to get the same factory specs out of the Corvette you'd have spend over a 100k.*

* before anyone starts I'm comparing numbers from each manufacture excluding mods.

I got Shelby to drive more to keep miles off the boss. In 20 years boss be worth more then the Shelby. U can see a Shelby any where you go. Not many bosses on road

Damn 13Boss302, those are sweet. I sure hope you get the Shelby though. They are both beautiful cars. You are definitely correct about the long range value of vehicle. Good luck

I love my shelby i would not trade it for a boss, ive driven the boss and its nice but the pure power from the gt500 is exhilarating

---------- Post added at 03:54 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:53 PM ----------

However if i could afford both i would definantly have both

Ah ... Wrong! Now that Carroll Shelby has died rumor is no more Shelby. They will make bosses forever.

Yeah if they only built the Shelby for 5 years like they said instead of 7 year they may have been worth something. They only building boss 302 for 2 years. Look and see how many Shelby u see on road and how many boss 302

---------- Post added at 08:41 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:38 PM ----------

Shelby don't build the gt500 if they did it wouldn't say svt they just make the parts. But everyone is to their own. I can put supercharger on boss and have the same power from a 302

I never said Shelby built these cars just that his estate now controls branding.

Honestly if you are looking for collector value either don't buy Ford or park it and wait at least 10 years. My last F150 platinum I drove for 3 years put almost 70k mikes on it and got 60% of original value. I'd be thrilled it any mustang did as well.

It dont matter if they control it or not they still not be worth alot. Anytime u put 70k on any thing in 3 years your not going get alot for it. I don't drive the boss

If I had a boss id probably put 10 miles a month on it. I like to keep my cars in low mileage good shape. My 2011 ranger I had for over a year I sold it with 3k miles on it

Different uses. My Shelby is my daily driver. I figure why not have fun and enjoy my car! And I didn't pay anywhere near 70 for it.

I really can't argue with that much since you own both. Lucky dog. In North Carolina I actually see about equal spread of Shelby's and Boss 302's, which is not that much. IMHO buying either car thinking its going to be a collectors item in 20 plus years is wishful thinking. If Ford is making profits on the Boss 302 you know they are extending the product line a few more years to capitalize. Regardless, where are the pics of them both lined up?!
