Another oil change thread and front air dam

All right I am not worried what type oil etc you use or I filter. What I want to know is

1 how many change their own oil
2 does the front air dam get in the way of a regular floor jack
3 how long does it take I have not really looked under the car yet to find the filter and the owners manual does not say where it is

Thanks after the first change at the dealer in April they are going to put on the front air dam from there I think I am handy enough to change it.

Any body pull the air dam on and off or do you just leave it.

I can't wait for warmer weather to drive this thing

Thanks Mike

I use a lift so couldn't tell you about the dam. I doubt it since i used to change my Vettes oil with a floor jack and it was much lower. The filter is slightly tricky on the gt500. The way it is positioned over a bracket or suspension part (can't remember) is a pain when you remove the filter. The initial oil surge will drain and hit that piece and flow everywhere. I just placed shop towels on the bracket and prevented a mess. The whole process took about the same amount of time as usual. 15-30 mins depending how anal you are about letting the oil drain for a bit
