Supercharged and tubrocharged?

Alright I was watching a video with jay Leno on you tube I'll post it. They had two corvettes on there and one had a rear end turbo these are kind of new on the scene. Would/could there be any benefit to adding a system similar to that to my 12 snake?

Nice car! Hmmm. Interesting question. It's definitely been done before, but as far as the benefits for a street driven car, I'm not sure. Probably a better option would be to max out the displacement on supercharger. But if you wanted to make wild amounts of boost...

I feel like the future is all going towards the turbo and getting away from the big blowers. Just trying to get a head of the game. Super snake is still my 1st option but just am looking at others.

My only problem with the rear-mounted turbos: they are fairly vulnerable to debris, rocks, and whatever else may hop up and hit the filter, turbo, piping, et cetera. I don't know how many problems people are having with them, but I feel like daily driving the car would cause more wear than an under-the-hood turbo kit. This might not be true, but it is definitely something I would be thinking about.

I'm with you there. If I have my choice between the two it's turbo all the way. That was an interesting set up on that Vette though. I think, like it said in the video, there has to be alot of lag with that system. An awful lot of plumbing. Lol.
