GT500 vs GT350

I was wondering if someone could help clear something up for me...

So there is the GT500 which I would think is the more recognizable "name", but then you have the 350.

What are the differences between the 350 and 500?

Just going off numbers I would think the 350 would be the little brother to the 500, however I read an article a while back that made it sound like the 350 was more powerful and more rare.

Can someone set the record straight for me?

Thanks

I believe the g350 is just a 5.0 that you send to Shelby and they put a blower, body kit, brakes, wheels, suspension and what not. Just like they do the saleens and roush

So it's a buy and send in, vs a buy a pre-made. Would make sense

The top model GT 350 from Shelby is badass, on a road course it the best Shelby makes. The supercharged 5.0 makes as much HP as the 13 GT500 and the GT350 go's into the Shelby registry as built by Shelby

GT500's dont get marked as built by Shelby?
Maybe because they are more mass marketed???

Wonder what the price difference would be between buying a GT off the floor and sending it to Shelby to make it a top-end (GT500 level specs) 350, and with buying a GT500 off the floor.
Of course options are going to make it vary some, but I would think doing a supercharged 350 would end up costing more then just doing a GT500 (my assumption because of having to ship the car both ways, etc)
Maybe not...?

Base line 2013 gt350 is 60k plus add ons and shipping costs so yeah all said and done with multi options probably 68-75k which is about the same as a new gt500 because of dealer markup on the gt500s

A supercharged GT350 package from Shelby will cost you $34k on top of the price of a GT. However the GT350 will lap a regular GT500 any-day.

He you go 88k for a loaded convertible, little less for a hardtop. The 2011 were 90k to 100k, today bring 70k to 80k, you purchased the complete car from SAI back then, now the program is you buy the car then SAI converts it. I think the gov now makes them crash test a car if they sell as complete car, so you will not see that anymore. That why you must purchase from dealer. And today it add a supercharger Ford voids the warranty. I think 11-12 are the ones to own for future value, they were built when Carroll was still with us.

I take it you mean the current production models, not models from the past. At first I thought you were talking about the originals.
