Question for my ignorance

To me Shelby is top of the line Mustang. I live in Japan and am looking through a used car sale site over here. The car is being sold as 2012 3.8 V6 but all the badges on markings (including interior) reflect SVT Shelby Cobra. Is it possible for a new V-6 to be ordered with such markings? The car would have manufactured in the states and shipped over here. This is not a question to the name of Shelby as I hold it in the highest regard.

Post some pics, if you can.

It definitely sounds like someone decked it out in Shelby and/or SVT badges. But, if they think it's a V6, and it is the real deal.... Find of the century! Buy!

Wow. Someone definitely tried to make it look like a Shelby, but it's not. To my knowledge, they definitely don't come from the factory like that. Especially with those wheels..

A picture of the engine would certainly solidify my question but ironically one isn't being provided.

The front bumper cover / grills & side stripe are all V6 standard issue. The Shelby lemans over the top stripes are only 2 wide stripes, do not include the narrow pinstripes on either side.

It's still a nice looking car.

Also, the Shelby has a long hood vent that is not on this car.

Look under the hood to make sure... that's where most of the real magic lives!

It a went-a-be, Shelby did make the CS6 but that not one of them. Anything made by Shelby has a CSM number under the hood, and i think SVT does something to on there cars.

Wrong headlights, hood, stripes, wheels, and open the hood and I guarantee it has the wrong engine!

I knew the engine would be a dead give away. The lack of photo of an engine was what raised my suspicion. I wasn't aware of all the other differences and I appreciate everyone's feedback. I'm simply a GT owner that dreams of a Shelby someday.

It's still possible that it's a Shelby. Maybe they put on a different front bumper cover & different wheels. And seats and exhaust...

It's definitely a SHEBLY PoS, limited edition model only sold internationally, you've got to have the right eye to spot these models.
