Stripe issue

Ok new issue but still around the stripes! Mine are scratched like crazy had some nasty wax build up on them and frustration/stupidity took over and I used a kitchen scrubber sponge on it, it got rid of the wax ghosting but now it's just swirled with scratches. Any ideas? Take them off?? Can it be fixed? I really like the look of the matte black and the white but I'm not sure what to do

Mine are oxidizing really bad on the roof, I plan on just peeling them and re-striping. Or leave them on there and just layering the new ones

Couldn't hurt at this point but I think the scrubber took it to point of no return...

Gotta get new stripes. The matte material is awesome looking but pain in the rear to take care of. The detailer charges me an extra $20 to detail my car because he has to tape the stripes.

There is a very simple way to take care of both the paint and the stripes
on your Shelby. Wash the car at a car wash that has the options for applying clear
coat protectant and wax after washing, apply both of them but don't rinse the car after
applying. Immediately dry the car with a soft towel, and you will be drying the car and buffing
the liquid wax at the same time. This method leaves no residue, protects your stripes and makes
the paint shine like a diamond. Both my 2010 Camaro and my mustang have black vinyl stripes
and they and the paint look like a million bucks. I've been doing the Camaro this way for
three years and I haven't seen another late model Camaro that looks as nice as mine on the
paint and stripes. An added benefit is after a few weeks of this treatment, the glass
on the car sheds water so fast you don't even need to use the wipers when it rains.
The key to getting the best results is to wash the car and wax it every week this way.

It seems like you have gloss black stripes, correct?

The stripes on my mustang are reflective 3m black, sort of a semi gloss. The hood
and trunk stripes on my camaro are matte black. They just gleam using the car wash wax procedure with no residue whatsoever.

I took my stripes off today only too 30 mins. It's an easy thing to do. As for putting them on maybe talk to the pros for that.

How about bring it to a good body shop and have them painted on then you won't have to worry about them. I plan on doing this next year when I save up the money.

That's way too much of a commitment for me. I kind of like mine without the stripes now and like any mustang owner I am constantly changing my mind on what I want to do.
