Shelby Lowering Springs.

I've been looking and asking, trying to find all the right answers. With lowering and what is necessary, are springs all that are really necessary? If not, what else is needed? Is an alignment necessary after changing the springs? Give me the insides and out please. Sorry I know these things are beat to death on some other models, I don't find much on Shelby's.

When looking at AM I found a few options.

Eibach or ford racing? The ford racing are only only goes 1.25 all the way around. There are 2 eibach that start out lower than that. The eibach sportline goes 1.7 front and 2.2 rear. The eibach pro-kit goes 1.5 and 1.7. The sportline is red. I wish we could choose color lol. What do y'all think?

There's ehhh when it comes to low and then there's LOW! What do u think?

I would not take your Shelby too low. 1 1/2" will be fine, I just did the rear on my 3.7 to correct
the "Roll Center" as it makes the car handle better in the twisty's. Brackets give my pony more
grip for launching. Look before you leap into springs, there are a lot of threads on this subject.

I have the eibach pro kit and you know how good mine looks I would definantly not go any lower than that.. As far as alignment if you drop it more than 1" it will require an adjustable pan-hard bar to square the rear end and may need a full alignment mine didn't as it was perfect after installation(with rear end adjustment using pan-hard of course) other than that you "need" nothing else but I would highly suggest doing some control arms while your there since its not too much more work and you will have to drop the rear anyway

How much did that setup lower it from stock? Looks nice, and the removal of hopping is appealing as well.

These guys have some amazing cars. If u meant mine, thanks brother. I feel very very fortunate to own it. I dreamed of owning one since I was a kid. Urs is beautiful too. My wife freaked over it lol. I almost bought one the same color without the stripe.

If u need help with anything, don't hesitate to ask. Navigation of the forum on the phone can be a little tricky. Looks like u got it under control tho.

Thanks man! Funny thing, my girl freaked over yours and said I should get mine painted red. LOL.

This forum is pretty awesome. I've never been on a forum before, so this is also another new experience for me.

Lol. I've been here for a while now. People come and go but the focus remains the same.

One thing I've learned, this car is never gonna be done lol. I always want, want, want. Well, at least that's what my wife says.

Thanks bro. No. I haven't had any issues going over bump or humps. I think it's at a perfect height. Not too high or too low.

I don't know how my friend made my picture look like this but this is the only good one in this angle.

I asked the same question about springs. I was told, if your going to put on new springs, you might as well get the whole package. Springs, Sway Bars, Struts and New Mounts and Shocks. New Strut tower, if you don't have one. Also, get an alignment.

If you below 1.5 you should put on panhard Bars and control arms.

I put on the FHRP and love it. Rides a little rougher but much more responsive.

Are you running 19's and 20's or 18's and 19's?

Hope this helps you.

Just for reference these are BMRs. I included two close ups of the front and rear for you. The front sits tucked while the back has a small gap.
