It will increase the value but not $60k in value, that's all I'm saying.
Well, I bought it to drive, not to resell it. I have several cars and motorcycles and I drive and enjoy them all. Someone much wiser than me once said:

"If you don't get what you want it's because ...

1. You didn't really want it, or ...

2. You tried to haggle over the price."

+1 on that one. If I had that kind of $ to spend on a Mustang, I can't think of a better one to spend the money on. Enjoy it!

Still drooling over the car. If you guys think, $60k for the car then $60k for all the conversions. $120k total, thats still a hell of a lot better deal than those BMWs, Mercedes, and Audis being sold for more than that bone stock from the showroom floor.

850HP Kenne Bell blower, 3.73:1 gears, wide body front and rear, billet watts link. I delivered it to Shelby on Dec 14, 2012 and got it back July 10, 2013. They had it seven months (in case anyone is concerned about turn around time).
The mechanical work was finished in two months. The wide body is where the hold up is.
What tires & wheels did they put on it?

He probably needs them for a 345 tire. I've seen the 315s in person, they are ridiculously wide, I can't imagine the 345s.

Thanks. I'm leaning toward the Michelin PSS when my G1 wear out.

What other car can you buy from the factory, well kinda factory, with 850hp for only $120k. I see it as a great deal!
I think that I'm paraphrasing Motor Trend with this.
Steps for flooring the Super Snake.
1) are you in 3rd gear or higher?
2) are you on a straight bit of road?
If the answer to both of those questions is yes, then you are ready.

BC most ppl that spend that kinda money park them in the garage and trailer them to shows, maybe go to the store 1/2 mile away. Im not saying that Chip is one of those guys but statistics are statistics. I met a dbag the other day with a '12 Laguna Seca and a '13-14 GT500 and neither one of them had over 100 miles on them. I seriously wanted to slap the guy. Carroll Shelby said it best, "these cars are made to drive, not sit in a garage"

I know someone who owns a GT-R, Cobra Jet, and his wife's dd is a 2013 GT500. He takes the Cobra Jet out 4-5 times a year, and the GT-R gets taken out fairly often. Before I moved I would see him every once in awhile driving it.

Just my two cents but you paid them $60k and they don't even let you keep your original parts is insane

I think most of Shelby's customers are far more concerned with getting exactly what they want than getting a deal.

It's like that old saying goes....if you're worried about the price then you probably can't afford it....
