I think a buddy of mine saw you once in the Brentwood area of the bay, is this you? You said you drove home to S.F, this is near S.F lol. Sick car, I can't put into words how jealous I am.

Yes, that's me

My insurance company says to just save the Shelby invoice and they'll cover it.

My friend said he loved your car lol. He said it sounded like a beast. I've never had the pleasure of seeing it though. And let's just hope you never find out what insurance does lol.

I saw you today. You were turning into Target off Lone Tree in Antioch/ Brentwood. Did you see the Dark Gray S197 and the Silver S197? The SS looks even better in person. Thing was sick!

Going through everything, 60k seems reasonable to me. There is a lot of work in that car, especially the wide-body. As others have said, US labor isn't cheap. For $120k (60+60) you have a rather unique and wicked vehicle. DIY you can match the power for about $10k...and perhaps have your own widebody fabbed up (painted, etc) for another 10-15k (paint and body work isn't cheap). Factor in 5k for custom billet wheels with super sized tires, and another 5k for suspension and brakes.

When you think about it its not that bad of a deal. My only issue is the turn around time. 7 months? Gotta be freaking kidding me. I could understand if there is a waiting list, but I should still be able to drive my car until they call my name. I don't see why it takes them 7 months to complete the work. How many man hours was that?

Either way, wicked wicked ride. A family member asked me the other day that if they were to win the lotto and offer to buy me whatever car I wanted, what would it be...I told them A Shelby Super Snake.
