Will an offroad pipe give me a code

I am currently running LT with high flow cats. I want to change the cats to a offroad x. Will doing this give me a code. Will I have to retune?

Yes you'll throw a cel and its not really necessary to tune but it will help with the code if you dont go with mil eliminators

you plug the mil eliminator into the 02 sensor port and it's supposed to keep the car from throwing a code. I have heard that most don't really work that well though. It's easier to just get an updated tune to turn the 02 sensors off and not waste the money on mil eliminators.

If you have a tuner you can turn it off through that also.

On the mod motor stuff Hi flow cars are the way to go! My tuner stands by them and time and time again they have proven to make anywhere from 25-40 on tg and 20+ on power.

Whoa what? I wish when I took my cats off my car I'd gained or freed up 20 horse. But I'm a 2v soooo. I didn't notice any gains on going catless.

you cant go wrong with the hi flow cats from Kooks. Every car is different but on the 4v moto mod cars seem to due much better with hi flow cated H-pipes.

Since he mentioned the o/r x pipe I put in my magnaflow o/r tru x xpipe and my check engine light hasn't come on at all and this was about a month ago now. No tune or mil eliminator. Is this normal?

As your o2 sensors are positioned before & after the cats, at the least you'll have to turn them off. Not sure if " your " car will need a tune.

Are we talking making more power by changing to an X or H with high flow cats or can u only change the cats to high flow and get that much extra power? The ones on AM that are sold separate, pypes, MagnaFlow, SLP, will those alone produce that much extra power?

Sorry to butt in guyz, am I understanding right-
Y'all r sayin with a 4v motor
1- cat delete actually decreases power
2- high flo cats in reality make more power

Is this with all 4v motors, are there actual proven applications and is there supporting data somewhere.

Ursula has an off road x if I can get a gain goin back to cats I definitely will. Need more supporting evidence before I spend $500 and drag my old gimped up *** under her!
