short lived gt500

Well...after much deliberation, I decided to trade my 2011 gt500 for a loaded 2014 5.0... the gt500 was a powerful machine, but on the street the 5.0 is a little more enjoyable to drive I feel. I didn't loose a dime on the trade, and I actually lowered my car payment by 300 dollars a month. Ill miss my gt500 though : (

It's gotta be tough. That said if you ever miss the power, even just the FRPP supercharger kit will bring you to similar amounts of hp and tq. Plus, you gotta love that 13/14 rear end! So, pictures bud?

Ill post pics soon. I got a black premium with track pack and navigation ect... the dealership also agreed to powdercoat my rims black for free and they gave me free full synthetic oil changes for 3 years at 5k mile intervals. It was still pretty sad seeing them drive my shelby away though.

Nice! Yeah got love the 3.73 gears and the navigation stuff is pretty cool too! Did you get brembo brakes and rims?

Confused, below was your thread from 09-10-2013, 02:27 pm.....so did you trade for an 11 or 12 GT500 ??

" I traded my 13 gt in for a 12 gt500. Im not sure where to start with modding it. It has a magna flow exhaust thats getting thrown in the garbage. I would honestly rather have the stock exhaust or the borla s type. Any thoughts on where to begin? Im thinking exhaust and mgw shifter for now. "

I traded a 2013 gt for a 2011 gt500. 2012 was a typo. I really liked the gt500, but I took it in for service and test drove a 14 gt with track pack while I waited snd I came to the conclusion that I liked the power band on the 5.0's and I was a kittle more fun to drive on the street. So I weighed my options and ended up leaving it at the dealership and I drove home the gt. I still have the gt500 cert below.

youre mucho confusing sir but whatever floats your boat. I would assume the 5.0 would be more comfortable for daily driving than the GT500 anyway

In college I had my 00' GT, and saw all the exchange students cruising in brand new Corvettes, Porche's, Audi's, Cobra's, etc....etc.....

I used to envy them so much. But now they are probably back I'm the UAE running thier multi million dollar oil companies. (Yeah I still envy them)
