Under hood insulation

I want to remove the good insulation. Is it needed?

No it's not needed!.. Had mine off my '04 GT for about 6 years now and no problems!.. About to take it off the '06, as it's getting kinda ratty!..

Sorry didn't realize this was a Shelby section!.. But on the other hand, I have a buddy with a '08 GT500 and he removed his!.. Said the SC don't suffer from heat Soak as bad now!..

I want to remove mine because of the added cooling it would give, but I have a question. Wouldn't removing it eventually cause the paint to become discolored, or cause problems with it over time, because of the heat in the engine bay.

Lol. Took mine off about 6 years ago!.. Zero problems with pain and all!..
