Rear Quarter Panel Dents

I've heard that it isn't unheard of for random dents to appear near the rear quarter panel below the back window.

I just noticed a tiny dent today on my Shelby. Anyone else have this?

Shopping cart? Dents don't happen by themselves

I got it fixed but the area it happened was the same area where there was a few reports of debts appearing randomly. It is said to be a factory is because the pressed metal sometimes dent in certain creases.

I remember when I had my 2010 challenger there were a lot of complaints of random debts and they later said it was a result of driving fast and the wind pressing on weak points in the frame.

I know that people running slicks at the dragstrip used to get dents in their quarters from the extra traction that caused the quarters to wrinkle.

I take dents out of 4th gen Camaros and Trans Ams quarters all the time. They get a small crease directly above the center of the rear tire. It has to do with the body twist and torque. If you drive the car gently, you won't get these. Or, you can drive it like you want to and just get the dent removed from time to time. I'm sure an improved suspension could fix this. So yes, the dents do just happen by themselves with certain cars.

I have a small dent on my right rear of my GT500. Was really wondering if it was the same dent.

It's very possible as it seems that the factory dents have been appearing there. I had mine fixed by a pro at my local ford body shop and it is gone completely.
