the*Ford Mustang*which was built by*Shelby American*from 1965 to 1967, and Shelby Automotive from 1968 to 1970 (The '69 and '70 Shelby Mustangs were built entirely at the Ford Plants, only the '65–'68 cars were modified by Shelby at his site).

Sadly to say, that was it for Ford until 2007.

There's also a very limited number of 71-72 shelbys, made called shelby europa. Cars were made in Europe and supervised by Carroll. And shelby didn't just make mustangs but a few other fords/mercurys...
They are very good looking...

There were apparently a limited number of Shelby cars produced in Mexico in 1973 by Shelby of Mexico.

I'm having trouble decoding the foreign VIN but I am pretty sure that is NOT one of the Shelbys.
It looks like that car was manufactured in 1972 but it could still be considered a 73 year model.

The higher nickel content in the Mexican blocks is a myth. They do, however, have wider main bearing caps so that makes those blocks more desirable than the American blocks.

The picture of the VIN tag looks like the tag may have been removed at some point?
Are the rivets missing?
