Show Cars and Displays

You guys that attend car shows. Do you have a 'board'
or 'listing' of your mods that you take to the show?
Care to post pics?
I was thinking of a thin, black metal sheet with silver letters to go with my sterling grey Shelby.
Just wanting your input...

Have been attending shows since 2010, looked @ what everybody had for boards and came up with my own.
Could only find ( 1 ) pic of " my " car on display. ( and I didn't take it )
.

.
Section hanging from the hood is a 4 page Ford foldout, found a frame it fit perfectly.......people seem to like it
I display a dyno sheet & a sheet ( 8.5 x 11 ) listing the mods.
......( framed and sitting on the radiator cover )
.

.
My thought is:
A " car person " should be able to look at the car & know pretty much all there is to know.
.

.
The yellow sign goes in the trunk, breaks up the grey.....props to the mgf. / suppliers.
I also post my window sticker, hanging from the trunk, ....a lot of people wonder.

I like how you put the mfr's name first and I'm sure they do to.

I forgot to add I like your car too.

I put one in my 11, lots of people take pics of it. So one had to go in the 14.
It used to be a common practice to use tap handles for shift knobs, 30 or 40 years ago.....Not everyone's cup of tea !!

Loving the layout of the poster and the overall look. Originally that's what I was going for but the sign shop had a 3x4 piece of metal that they are giving to me as long as I pay for all the vinyl. So i'm not getting hit too hard. Originally I was thinking of your poster or something printed out on a piece of foam board but the shop does a lot of metal stuff so i'm going in that direction.

My poster measures 24 by 36 and is printed on paper, laminated and then placed in a frame. Keep in mind you need some way to transport it to car shows. The stand I use breaks down and everything fits in the truck along with a chairs, cleaning supplies, cooler, sun shade etc, etc.

I do not understand the process you are talking about, is your 3 foot by 4 foot poster printed on metal or vinyl?

I personally feel you don't need all that stuff The car should present itself Anyone who knows about cars will know what you have no need to advertise I do we'll with out it and 500 has plenty of upgrades

The displays aren't for the judges, but for the average show attendee.
People who own a similar car are always looking for ideas, besides reading the display, will ask questions like what this stuff costs & where it was ordered from.
Mods like wheels are easy to see, suspension / intercoolers, not so much.

Definitely chose not to agree with you. If my poster is not displayed it is possible to lose out to a stock Shelby with maybe wheels. However, when my poster is displayed it is very unlikely I will loose out to a stock Shelby because people can read and appreciate the many modifications to my car that are not visual.

Totally agree! However Judges do read the poster for a full appreciation of what has been done to the car. Just last month I won Best Ford and Best of Show, I was a domestic in an import show. When announcing the award for Best of Show it was mentioned that I won by one point. I am positive I would not have won without my poster detailing the many non visual modifications to my car.
