One more week then bed time

Well this is the first year since I have owned my car that I have not had it put up yet. I was going to just store it in my garage and drive it if the weather got nice and no salt on the roads, but I am working on my 68 coupe in the garage. So I checked for storage places and friend that head south for the winter to see if I could store it in one of there garages. No room at the inn. So back to original plan of storing it in my garage and not work on 68. Or pulling it out side in what ever weather and working on the 68. Well a friend just called and he has room in a heated pole barn to store it. The only problem I see is I can not just go and get it if I want to go for a ride. So she will sit for first time for more then three months with out me driving it. Oh well at least I can work on the 68 when I want and not have to worry about welding and stuff around it. So next weekend is the time it goes in, and the weather is in the 60 here all week. So I will put a few more mile on her then nighty nighty.

A battery tender is a good idea if it's going to sit for a while.

Sta-Bil in the gas tank

You want to be sure you have Sta-Bil in the gas tank and the tank is full to the top.
Use Regular 87 octane gas ( Less Ethanol) to top it off.
Don't worry, it won't permanently ruin your car to use 87 octane for a tankful.
*********************************OR********************************************
You can drive it down to my house, leave the car and your gas card with me and I can exercise it for you almost every day of the week during the winter.
Consider it a personal favor.
Ronnie

PS:
While your down here you can take a day to go fishing

Wow what an offer. As long as you wash and wax it I guess I will be heading your way I will have it topped off and waiting for me to get it back out.

Mine will go in the garage, at my house, since there is a snow storm supposed to hit on Saturday.

No problem with that Mike,
We have a few car washed around here that apply wax when you run your car through.

Got the toys put for the winter around a month ago. It gives you something to look forward to when spring is right around the corner.

With this nice weather here in NE Ohio I have been driving it. You should see the looks I get from people. I wish I could leave it in my garage cause I thinkwe are going to have a lot of nice days this winter.

Yeah! Should be somewhere in your trunk. In the spare area.
Well what it does is, the dia of the funnel is just the right size to depress 2 little protrusions on the sides that allow the trap door to open.
So actually once you depress those side things it will open.
For example when I us an additive in a bottle the dia of the neck of the bottle is enough to hit those things and open the door.
You'll see if you look closely at it.

Yea I figured that was the problem. The diameter of the funnel was smaller than the gas pump. Live and learn

mine was with the inflator kit....white translucent plastic. If you don't use it there is a good chance the Stabil will end up on your shoes.

Lol! Is that what the funnel is for? I never thought about that! 🤔

I am both sad and happy...........Stabil in the tank, battery tender glowing green as fully charged, nice new fitted car cover to protect everything...................but I can't see it or DRIVE it!
There is nothing like the first start up of that 5.0 in early spring though. You could not wipe that smile off my face if you tried. I AM looking forward to that...........

I don't feel so bad pouring 2 oz then. Thanks Hodor. If you were close you would offer you a hit off the big bottle.
