They could put that Predator motor in a Mach 1 or a GT350 RZ Mustang!

Ford has already stated the Mach 1 name will be given to a hybrid platform. I didn’t watch the entire reveal video but I’m told it’s mentioned later on after the Bullitt was revealed. Now if this is a Mustang or a SUV/Croosover has yet to be validated. Rumors, at the moment, lean towards a hybrid crossover it seems.

And here you have it, Lethal Performance just leaked the predator. Lethal performance works very closely with Ford, and often times has CAD files directly from Ford to work from. It's not surprising they already have an engine.

Yeah! I know of Lethal Performance! They took their Ecoboost Mustang to 11's then sold the car!

Well, there is still time, plenty of time! Engine does look nice though!

Hey Recon! As far as the Mach 1 is concerned, it might out due the GT500! This is because traditionally the Mach 1 name carries with it Big Block engine design! So its my guess it will come with a 7.0L motor!

Remember the Mach¹ from 1969 came from the factory with a Big Block 428ci Super Cobra Jet engine!

So those of you looking at the GT500, don't invest your money until you learn the specs for the Mach1!!!

You guys have no idea how much money Ford would make off the Mach 1's if they reintroduced the 427ci Cobra Jet engine! They could leave it normally aspirated and still make 700HP!

That's the ticket guys! If they try and ruin the S550's reputation with another boring SC, the the Mach 1 it is!!!!

Hey guys! I've been thinking! Its almost mandatory that Ford make a 3.5L Twin Turbo Ecoboost Mustang! They could price it safely above the GT and below a standard GT350! Set it to 400HP at the flywheel!

Ford is actually a kind of weird company when you analyze their corporate decisions! Why is it so hard for them to make good use all of the popular mustang's of the past!??

SCing the GT500 is proof that they need some kind of mental medication!

I would be a very sad person if I had a 2.3L EcoBoost Mustang that ran the quarter mile in the low 14's

Hey guys!! You know what? The 3.5L V6 Twin Turbo Crate engine is only $7850 dollars! OMG!

I might just do a motor swap for that price! Now they really got me thinking!

Oh man guys! This is a beautiful day! We must seriously discuss this guys! Its using the same block as the 2017 Ford GT!

Please respond everyone!

I'm all in guys! I'm swapping motors!

Hey Dave! Not to worry my Friend! All it needs is a tune! That's it! Nothing wrong with Ford releasing it with less HP! That's how they keep the cost down! Don't even trip on it!

By the time I buy a turbo kit and do all that is necessary to maintain 500whp, I would exceed the price of the 3.5L crate engine!

Its actually cheaper to just swap motors! I love the 2.3L, don't get me wrong! It can also do 900HP! But to have tvmhe same motor ad the Ford GT, means something to me personally!

Only thing I'm concerned with is the ECU! I know I would have to switch to an F150 ECU! But what about the digital gauges and Track Apps? Would I lose those? That's the tough part! I'll look into it!

Probably wouldn't exceed the cost of the crate engine! All that's needed to maintain 500whp is;
#1 turbo kit $3699
#2 47 to 50lbs injectors $300
#3 Hand held tuner $500
#4 possibly an Auxiliary fuel system upgrade $600

So not bad!

I'll kick it around!

I doubt it will. Current reports are hinting that the Mach 1 will be a crossover. But more evidence can come up hinting to a Mach 1 Mustang hybrid, only time will tell.
Some came with that engine, but a 2 barrel 351W is standard for the Mach 1 in 69.
I’d be surprised if the Mach 1 would out preform the GT500. The rumored 7.0L V8 ford is coming out with is just that a rumor. It would be a complete 180 in the direction ford is heading with all their vehicles currently.

Nice Bummer! Turbo!

Hey Recon! The 351w was the basic engine, the 428 S Cobra Jet was the high performance Vin number! 335HP and 445lbs ft if TQ!

The 351w couldn't come close to those numbers!Click image for larger version

It ran a 14.8ET!

The S Cobra Jet 428ci ran a 14.1ET!

Same as a bone stock Ecoboost!

There is one report from Road and Track that pitted an Ecoboost Mustang against a GT! Both 2015 model year! This Ecoboost ran a 13.9ET! Which I believe, cause I ran a 14.3ET with a 2.2 60ft! My best 60ft was 1.9 seconds! If I didn't have to scrub that run due to traffic, I would have run a 13.9ET!

I think the Mach 1 is going to best the GT500! Especially if the 19 GT500 is SCed again!

I'll hate you forever Ford if you make the GT500 SCed again!!

Yes! The engine with more boost and a slight tune would eat a NA GT anyway! Its the same philosophy as the 2.3L mustang! Keep it affordable! Ecoboost technology is not expensive! GT's are ridiculously overpriced if you get the PP! A base GT is only $34,000 bucks!

But yes Voltwings, a price point of $40K and 400HP is right on the money!

Unless you think they should price the 3.5L TT at around $35,000?

Yes! $35,000 is more like it!
