Shifting help on my Stage 3

Any recommendations for the best shifting RPMs or speed for my 2012 Stanger?

Thanks,
Dennis

What kind of shifting are you asking about? Drag race? Normal driving? Fuel economy?

I usually shift at 2k if I'm shifting one gear at a time, 25-28k if I'm skipping every other gear

Re: Shifting help on my Stage 3

I have 540 HP and I have been shifting into 6th around 60mph. It doesn't appear to be straining or sluggish at that speed. I just didn't want to screw-up too badly!

You have 5.0 I'm assuming. Stage 3 engines aare built to fly haha. Mine is 4.6 5 speed and I hit 5 at 45 at the earliest. Just so long as your not hitting Rev limiter constantly your fine haha.

What year is it

Re: Shifting help on my Stage 3

I have a 2012 though I did prefer the 2013 since the hood is vented and you already I am sure know there is much heat under the hood.

The supercharger is fantastic and though I still have just under 2k miles on her, I have held back the throtle to under 110 (and that is with approx. 2600 rpms. So needless to say, it is overall fast and I am enjoying it, and just trying to keep the speeding tickets down.

Know of any good quality radar detectors?

Re: Shifting help on my Stage 3

Besides everything, what do you like the best of the Shelby? Would you purchase another and if so, what year and why?

I love how well built it is from the factory.. No need to mess with the bottom end till ur well over 800hp.. The few mods I've done have made it really nasty.. I will buy another one and it will be a 2013 I believe.

Re: Shifting help on my Stage 3

I always wanted a Shelby but the $$ was too much for me. Depending on what the future has in store for the Shelby, my next vehicle will probably be one!
