Roush 625 HP Upgrade Complete

Hi Guys

I finished installing the Roush 625 HP Upgrade (part #421389). Everything went pretty smooth. I pulled the PCM and shipped it back to Roush for calibration. While it was gone I changed out the stock air box for Roush CAI. I did not have to change the pulley and belt as my 2013 comes with the 85MM pulley. When the PCM got back I re-installed it and the car started right up and every thing works perfect. I drove the car about 20 miles today and definitely can feel the difference. I accelerated in second and third gear and the rear end broke loose in both gears. Guess I will have to change my driving habits. Overall I am happy with the upgrade and would recommend it to anyone that is interested.

Looks great! Did Roush include a prepaid shipping label to send the PCM?

I've been looking into that upgrade as well. I am even considering the Phase 3 but I do not know how much the 5.0 can stand and how long for that matter if it did have the upgrade. Mine is a 2012 so I do not know if my pulley is different from yours but nevertheless, these cars are so much fun. Be safe out there brother!

That is exactly why I stuck with the Phase 2 625 HP upgrade. I did not want to risk hurting the stock 5.0 engine with more power. I did a lot of research before making my decision and thought this was best for me.
Good luck with your decision and take care of that cool looking car

Mine is the red one. GT premium 4.6 2008. Got it last spring with 10,000 original miles.Started building on it right away. Each summer I'm looking to add more horse until I'm putting 500-600 rwhp to the pavement.

Nice Job. Did you have a Tower Strut Brace and because of the install, you took it off?

Do you have plans to run a Dyno on it?

I do not or did not have a strut brace. I am in the market for a cool looking one. I would sort of like to have a wide one like I had on my 2012 Boss 302. If some one knows of a wide one that will fit over the supercharger please let me know

John Trishler the salesman at the #1 Roush dealership has done a couple different dyno test on this 625 HP install. As I remember he got 630-640 HP. I think I will wait a little bit and install either a aluminum or carbon fiber drive shaft and then maybe I will put it on the dyno.

I too am looking for one of these strut bars...need to make sure it will clear the supercharger and the factory hood. Is it true the 07-09 GT500 bars work?

That is a beautiful set up you have there 1 Alibi 2...There is no way that I am going to try and keep up with late model GT500..I just want a conservative build that will not get my engine or me in trouble
