Just installed the Ford Racing short shifter in my 2012 RS3

I wanted to share my feedback on the Ford Racing short shifter. I never was happy with the stock shifter and the Roush stage 3's could really benefit form this upgrade. I chose Ford Racing just to go with that OEM brand and it's perfect. Just my 2 cents...

Glad you are happy with it. My 2013 RS3 stock shifter seems to work very well. I am guessing that Ford corrected something from 12 to 13 model. I had a 2012 Boss and the shifting experience was not the best. I put a MGW shifter in and it helped some.

Pretty sure the ford racing shifter is a Barton clone. Nothing OEM about it.

Yes, Ford Racing offers a warranty on SOME parts, but they are not the same as the OEM parts.

That is why I posted the link. It explains everything, from the corporate site. Doesn't get much clearer.

Thanks for the replies. After reading the warranty link, I now realize that Ford Racing is not OEM. I stand corrected. Nevertheless, this shifter, whether Barton or some other brand, seems to be a perfect upgrade on these 5.0's. Reverse is just a bit tight but I like that. It does seem to be getting "broken in" after 300 miles now.

I ordered a MGW about a week ago for my 14 Stage 3. I can't wait to get it put it, this is usually the first upgrade when I get a new stang.
