Help pls!! Engine won't start sometimes...

I have a 2006 Roush Stage 3 Mustang. Sometimes it won't start. I'll turn the key, and all I get is a click, no crank. I'll continue to turn the key off and on a few times, and finally the car will start. Can anyone tell me why this problem occurs? Any and all help with this issue will be greatly appreciated. Thanks to everyone here in advanced.

Sounds like your tumbler is going out

I had to replace mine a couple different cars

Have to get the part from the stealership so it's coded to your key which takes a while to make.

Before you spend any money check your connections. My guess is the battery isn't making good connections with the cables.

Had this happen in mine, it's a bad cell in the battery more than likely. It'll test good most of the time but it's bad. Get the battery replaced and it should resolve the issue.

When this takes place, is the entire electrical system failing / shutting down? Is it a defined, hard click, like from the starter, or a soft click, like from the starter relay? The starter relay has been known to fail on these vehicles. I'm not saying go out and buy one and hope for the best. I'd investigate a little more before I went out and dropped money on a part on a hope.

The electrical system does not fail or shut down at all, and the click that I get when I turn the key is soft, like it's the relay, not the starter, but I don't know.

Remove the starter relay and test it first

I was having this problem ...it was the switch when ya push the clutch pedal in to allow the car to start.... Look where the clutch pedal touches the sensor .. Sometimes it goes bad... Not saying that's it ... But it happened to me....
