Well I don't know right now because I've added things since then but the last time I dynoed it was 430hp and 435tq on 91 octane 9 to 9.5 psi in southern cali. I can't wait to move to Virginia with 93 octane!!! I have my next dyno on the 9th of April

Keep us posted on what it makes. Can you not run the 2.8" pulley with your setup?

I will be able to run the 2.75" when I upgrade my injectors to 60 lbs and upgrade my maf, I didn't know it but with my setup I could run the 3.0 pulley but I had already bought the 3.2 pulley all well. I have also been running my stock tensioner with an oversized water pump pulley with no issues as of right now but it could just be me LOL but I will update here with my numbers when I dyno it on monday

I wish I was that far already how much would I have to spend into the motor to get where you are?

Well it depends on where you go and what parts you go with, if I could done it all over again I would go through brenspeed and get the 302 block and their rotating assembly and not go through the headache of getting all the work done LOL but I spent about 10,000 with parts and labor but I had to get a rotor pack for my supercharger too but without that I would say around 6 or 7,000 parts and labor

Okay. What size pulley were you running when you made 430hp?

Running the 3.2 pulley which I'm making 9 to 9.5 psi, but with my Saleen extreme CAI I have less restriction so I don't have to make more psi for the same power, keeps my supercharger from over working itself LOL

I see what you mean makes sense. If I was to make low 400hp with the 3.4" does that mean I would be safe with the 3.2" or do I need to upgrade something else at that point?

Well I would say call brenspeed and talk with Chandler and ask him what he thinks but imo I would stay with the 3.4 and not risk anything but anytime you add more boost to a engine the longevity starts going down the drain and its a crap shoot. I upgraded my fuel pump to the gt500 dual fuel pump and with my built engine I have no worries just injectors and maf and ill be able to drop to the 2.75"

Yeah me too, I'm kinda learning as I go too. I just got a really expensive lesson on what not to do so I've been really conservative with my car now, I would recommend getting a water/methanol kit though, that's one of the mods I put on so I'm hoping to see a nice gain from that, still stock exhaust and throttle body and stock cams and heads making this much power, just crazy!!!

Definitely a good thing means the car has potential! Can you get the complete methanol kit or how does it really work?

Yeah I got mine through summit racing, I got the stage 2 maf kit for mustang 05-10. I got that plus the boost juice, and I had my mechanic professionally install it and have it kick in at around 3 or 4 lbs of boost and it makes such a difference it basically takes your octane and bumps it to 116 or more when it is on. I can't wait to see the power gain from it but I think its worth it because I feel the difference and it also helps keep the car from detonation or at least that's what I was told. Best $400 you can spend on a supercharged car!!!!

Those numbers seem low with a 3.2. There's guys getting 480 to 500 rwhp with the 3.2 pulley.

Well I have a conservative tune cause I don't want to push anything really and I'm also at sea level on 91 octane, you would be surprised how much octane will give you plus every dyno puts down something different because I had a friend who put a whipple on his car with water meth and hit just at 460 so where I'm at isn't too far off just waiting to see on the 9th for my dyno but I talked to brenspeed and they said I'm at the right horsepower for what I have done

Heck yeah man sounds like a good kit! I'll have to see if somebody in my area knows how to install it.

If I was to get the methanol kit would I still need to upgrade the heat exchanger?

No you wouldn't have to at all, the kit basically just makes your engine have more power with a regular octane the heat exchanger isn't a issue at all

The reason I was asking is, since I live in a pretty hot area I might need to do something to get some cooler air into the engine and didn't know if the water meth kit would do enough or if I needed to upgrade my intercooler.

Well to save money I bought a 160 thermostat and changed my fan speed with my SCT tuner, my engine sits at 170 now and when I drove through Vegas at 120 degrees it didn't get hot or give me any problems and it cost me $40 for the new thermostat and cost of coolant and a little bit of time on my part and it was all done with no issues!

Do you have the H20 temp or air intake temp gauge on your Saleen gauge pod & what temps do you see on normal driving?

Re: kenne bell boost a pump

Changing the thermostat and fan speed will bring down engine temps. Wont do alot to bring down air intake temps since the heat exchanger is in front of the rad.

Well having the water methanol kit would help keep the intake temps down when it kicks in but other then that and a heat exchanger that's probably the best you will get without changing the radiator or getting a fan cooled heat exchanger?

Re: kenne bell boost a pump

The stock Saleen heat exchanger is tiny compaired to aftermarket units.IMO I'd upgrade the heat exchanger. With my dual fan HE I don't see temp above 125.
