| 99-04 saleen.
What made the 281 99-04 Saleen different from a regular gt? Could I make my own Saleen as the real thing from a gt?

as long as u dont badge it a saleen i dont see why not. might be hard to find oem saleen parts though

What's the motor package ? Just a blower? Or are there more parts?

no idea. never paid much attention to them. im sure there has to be an owner on here somewhere that can shed some light. you should just save up to find urself a saleen if thats what u really like.

I Don't believe they have a blower. I think the main differences are the body kit and badass rims, suspension and seats I believe

yeah the saleens i have seen only have the wheels, badges and bodykit different, never seen the supercharged version in 99-04 models, does anyone know prices on the supercharged version?

most S281's are simply GT's with appearance stuff, perhaps a few handling options and rims~ maybe brakes..... and a few have superchargers, but overall they are GT Mustangs.
You cant make your GT an official Saleen but you can make it look the same, just keep the Saleen badges/stickers off and your good

My dad had a 02 saleen years back..the only thing diff from a gt is rims,n body,and there supercharged, nice looking car but for the price that they go.for..not worth it..so he sold it.

saleens really dont hold value well in the eye's of loan value due to their VIN says GT most always FYI
the newer models may have fixed this but I am doubting it

Saleens are GTs..Saleen purchases the mustangs from ford, and then modifies them. They hold a NADA value...but 'autotrader' doesn't recognize the 'saleen' part...so to them...they are GTs cause you can't search 'saleen'...this is why I searched keyword 'saleen'... 
Bet you didn't know the 99 S351s were base model V6s before Saleen got them, did ya?

the newer models may have fixed this but I am doubting it | Back in 2003-2004 I was looking for a "Saleen". and the banks recognized Saleen as 'ford' authorized and gave a 'adjusted' value..but not Roush, (my buddy had a 2000 Stage II roush, and went through hell to get financing cause the banks saw it as a 'GT"). When I asked why, is cause Saleen and ford were considered a partner type if thats how you want to put it...and roush was/is and aftermarket tuner. It seems now, Saleen is that way too. YOu can't find a NADA or aftermarket Saleen value any longer.
