Saleen in trouble again

Yet again it looks like Saleen is in financial trouble.

Wow, pretty sad most of us here have more in that bank than Saleen.

From your source: " Saleen admits that its financial situation is dire, and it has just $7,261 in cash sitting in the bank as of September 30."

I have never really liked Saleen, and always got a DMC kind of vibe from Steve. I'm not as much of a Roush groupie anymore, but I think the difference is Roush loves motorsports as a whole, while Saleen likes fast cars and money...and the fun with it- and they want selling cars to bring that level.

Just my opinion. It's never a good thing when a big time car influence is going down.

This doesn't surprise me. Their cars were always way too gaudy and nothing they did after the 90s mattered. I remember asking a manager at Ford in 2003 who the hell in their right mind would buy the Stage 3 Saleen over the Cobra and he shook his head and said "stupid ppl". Pretty much sums it up and my feelings on them.

They have really taken a dive over the years. Disappointing. I still think the best looking Mustang is the 99-04 Saleen.

Agreed. There were something like 20 Saleen Terminators and I think 46 1999 S351s. Those are the only Saleens worth getting IMO. Maybe the earlier SN95 S351s too but I honestly hate the 94-98 Saleen styling.

Old post I see.......

You can buy all of the Saleen Automotive stock for $276k as of last Friday. Last Thursday, it closed at $122k.

Someone might be trying to take over the company, finally.

It's a known name... Someone without their head in their *** takes over who knows. IMO, their downfall was making body kit cars with stock longblocks that were just as much $$$ and way inferior to the stock offerings. After the S351 went away anyway. A 1999 S351 is one of my dream cars.

That's unfortunate. Hopefully they'll come back. It'd be a shame to see them go. Being they made quite a few memorable cars over the years.

Pick your poison.

Agreed!

Interestingly, they typically have about 500,000 shares traded daily. Over the past week, around 3M have traded daily. Their share price is still a ridiculous $0.0006/share (that's correct). Anyone can buy many tens of thousands of shares of the company for the price of a set of headers.

I'm wondering if someone is gobbling up shares in a future hostile takeover attempt of the company.

Saleen has a new marketing agreement with a big Chinese auto company to sell in China and has partnered with Tesla on a 'cool' venture.

If the company can hang on for a few months, maybe they might turn the corner on some of their financial problems.

If someone was to buy 50 dollars worth of stock and it got up to a dollar a share life would be good lol

I'll bet the company hangs on as it stands today and gets past its financial problems.

I think that Saleen has more than 300 million shares out there. The last I heard, Saleen owns about 53% of the stock.
They've been trying to sell their inventory of super cars, and the intellectual property that goes with them, to try and raise some capital. Someone could go into the super car business!

It will be interesting to see if the company can get turned around, but often, these sort of things are like watching a train wreck... In slow motion.

Even if the stock got back up to 14 cents a share you would make around 35000

Lol I'm seriously considering buying like 50.00 in SALEEN stock now. Better odds that the roulette table I sat at earlier this week and lost 60 bucks at

You were just unlucky!

I predict that the odds of their shares going to .14 are about the same as winning the lottery.

Saleen in trouble again

-Heck. SLNN down to $0.00049! Sounds like a buying opportunity to me. Quick money when it trades up at $0.0007, again!

-That math teacher had the right solution concerning the lottery. Only one person out of the millions of people buying tickets will win the big prize.

Signed,
