2013 Mustang boss exhaust options

I own a 2013 mustang boss. When i look online i do not see many options for boss specific exhausts. So my question is, will the 2013 mustang gt axel back exhausts be a direct fit for the boss? And if so, would i need a tune with one of the exhaust delete ones such as the magnaflow competition series? I dont want to through a code or mess the car up in anyway. Thanks in advance for your help!

Not sure about the exhaust being a direct fit, but I'm betting it would.
As for not throwing codes, as long as you don't remove the cats you will fine with any aftermarket exhaust you want.
Check out:http://www.cooltechllc.com/Boss/Boss_KO_System.shtml
They have a full exhaust with high flow cats, no tune needed
I bought my rollbar from them and it's looks awesome

2 bolts each side, remove the discs, enjoy. More sound comes out the sides, of course. I like it and it's loud enough for me. Especially at track days when I'm WOT! My wife says she can hear me coming before she sees the car and she knows it's my car

If its too loud(I really can't see that) go to bossmustangsonline.com there's a guy who makes the plates with different size holes. His screen name is 2012yellowboss. Also a great site for everything Boss

So you remove the plates and then rebolt the side pipes back up? Do you have a line up issue? And i think i found out it is the same axel back exhaust as the gt on some other forum. Thanks for the help man. Moral of the story i bought an axel back that was meant for a gt but before i dive in to install i wanted to make sure it would fit.

Yup no alignment issues.

Cool, at least you won't have to sell them. Let me know how you like their sound. & the sound without the plates.

I will do it this week end and let you know how it turns out. If anyone else knows for sure on the axel back thing feel free to chime in.

Confirmed that the mustang gt axel back exhaust is a direct fit to the boss. The only issue is the spot weld holding the clamp in place. Other than that, piece of cake!

Twice as loud but sounds good. For the side pipes do u remove the thin plate or what? Do u take the full side pipe off? Or does it slide out?

Just an FYI - Flowmaster makes an 3" Cat Back Exhaust complete with Axle Back mufflers for the 2012 & 2013 Boss that retains the sidepipes and is a direct bolt up. About $770 complete and the next mod for me.

Re: 2013 Mustang boss exhaust options

The factory setup with the side exhaust restrictor plates removed is perfect IMO. I don't see any reason why I would ever change it.

3" exhaust all the way back from the Cats and a gain of 20HP no tuning required and a little deeper sound does it for me IMO. But each to his own, that's why they make so many mods. There is no wrong answer on mods if that's what trips your trigger.
