New BOSS!! Break in?

This is my first post, but i wanted to show off my new BOSS, and ask about break in:

The dealer said no break in is necessary, but i cant help but think i should do SOMETHING for break in. Havent really opened her up yet but i cant wait, she had 9 miles on her at the dealership, and i put on about 20 more keeping it under 5000 rpms. Anything special i should do?

Re: New BOSS!! Break in?

Only thing you need to do is, bed in the brake pads, and break in the clutch. Takes about 500 miles for the clutch.

Read the supplement, it's short and has some good info.
First 100 miles no WOT
After that to 1000 vary the rpm's This will help seat the rings

Haha, yeah don't worry. It gets harder as you get closer to 100.

Well, every time you drive your car, you could open up a can of beer, and put it in the cup holder. This way, you will surely drive like a little old lady going to church, for fear of getting pulled over with an open container.....

That is one nice car. When I was looking at which Mustang to buy, I knew I couldn't afford the Boss 302 package. One day, my wife ended up parking next to one at work in the parking structure. It looked exactly like yours. She snapped a couple of pics with her phone, and emailed them to me. She thinks she's pretty funny sometimes......hahahaha.

If it was mine, I would not get on it heavy until after the first oil change. It probably has break-in additives in the oil when you first bought it.

Re: New BOSS!! Break in?

I was reading my new clutch instructions and the break-in period they reccomend is 750 miles. I guess if any break-in was needed, it'd probably be for the clutch after reading that today.

Glad you got to play around with her a little today. Maybe you can get in to Autocross in your area. I bet that beast would kick butt on those courses.
