Would an automatic transmission fit in a 12-13 boss 302? I think that'd be pretty sick to have an auto boss!!

What's so special about a boss? Yes its the exact same thing as a 5.0.

All that's different is questionable forged internals. Heads/cams/ manifold.

Idk why so many people pit the boss on a pedestal

its just one of those tradition things. they're special because they only produce them a few years at a time.

Throw a boss intake and a set of cams and a tune at any 2011-2014 apparently and you've got pretty much the same thing. At least that's everything I've researched and read because if I ever do get a Coyote its going to be an auto and I'm trying to edumacate myself.

Raptinator is right about the internals as well, they are "sinter forged" vs drop forged. Sinter forging is the same process used to make the OEM modular rods (termis got Manleys). With that said, the boss rods are strong, like 800hp strong, but not real forged.
