Boss 302 forged internals

So there's a possibility I might be getting my short block replaced by ford with a boss short block.

I've read that the boss comes with somewhat forged internals and I was wondering if any of you guys know what's the max horsepower and torque those internals can handle safely?

I know for stock coyote internals 600 rwhp is fine but haven't seen anything about the boss internals. If any one knows I'd greatly appreciate it.

The accepted safe power level of the Boss internals is about 800 to the wheels from lots of ppl who have/had them. If you can get yours replaced with a Boss shortblock DO IT! Also have them put in some Boss exhaust cams while they are at it if you can. The intake cams are the same.

Just be aware that the Boss internals are not truly "forged" but they are a lot stronger than the GT stuff. Lots of pplz in Modular-Land use the Boss rods because they are $160 for a set and are a direct drop in for the 4.6L and are strong as hell.

Yeahh I'm definitely trying to get that boss short block.
I should be on the safe side then as my goal is 700 rwhp .

What are the benefits of swapping out the exhaust cams???

Its just a better cam profile. And they are cheap to buy from Ford. Labor to install them would be minimal if all they are doing is replacing the shortblock.

But I'm going to go ahead and assume you mean the whole longblock is getting replaced in a warranty situation or no?

Okay thanks I'll look into that.
As for the labor I know the tech that would be doing the work and he actually offered to put parts on my car as long as I provided the parts for him. So I'm definitely going to try and take advantage of that opportunity

Ummm well he said when he would start taking the engine apart he would see what was damaged and replace it. But for sure the short block would be replaced.
