I have a 2013 boss I have a full bolt on. basically everything I can add to add power besides a turbo or a supercharger or nitrous. but I just don't know what would be the best bet for me. I daily drive the car and I take it to the dragstrip once in a while. I just want something that will be fun and fast as I can go being safe. so if anyone has any info on what will be the best I would appreciate it. I'm looking into getting the hellion TwinTurbo kit, single turbo kit or pro charger cog race supercharger kit for a boss 302 thanks guys .
If you install, better cams, full exhaust mods, including long tube headers, cobra jet intake/throttle body, and a tune, you should be near 500 hp... that should be controllable with your stock Boss suspension. If you add a TC or SC, you might want to tighten up your suspension a bit... so the rear end doesn't get out of control..
I have some suspension already sorry forgot to mention. I have a bmr panhard bar along with the bmr lower and upper control arms. I also have a k-member and sub frame connectors.
I want to keep my boss intake manifold because well it's a boss lol.
I'm looking to get around 650 to 700 rwph. But I don't know what's the best to get
A Procharger brand Supercharger might be something to look at. They will provide more HP on the upper end.. which would be very sweet, IMHO....
(I think the Whipple brand superchargers provide more lower end torque. But, you would loose your manifold. Which, I'm like you, i wouldn't want to remove the Stock manifold. ..)
The supercharger runs cooler. But it's personal preference. Some SC"s have trouble keeping there belts on when boost is pushed too high... but, if you keep the boost at a resonable level, it won't be an issue...
I've had several turbocharged cars, domestic and foreign. I've had better luck with TC'd mustangs, overal.. .
But, all my friends are now going SC'd... they are having good luck with the newer designs.
NB302, how are you going to deal with the biannual smog checks that are going to come up eventually? Even if it passes the sniffer, be a tough one to pass the visual. I have been going through this conundrum with my '13 Boss and it doesn't seem like we have too many options in CA that will fly. I have had several conversations with Shaun at AED, which is fairly near my house, as to what I can do pre tune and there doesn't seem to be much unless I want to have a dedicated race car. I'll be interested to see how this thread progresses.
Well I'll just say I'm not worried about smog. my bro has a 2.9 whipple and long tubes with no cats. And he passes fine.?
