Talking Wish me luck this coming Friday

I will be heading over to Jackson, MI this Friday to Paul's High Performance to get my car tuned and ready for this summer. I can't wait for it to be 100%.

The plan: Dyno, figure out air/fuel problem. Check plug gap and make sure they are correct in reference to my mods I have already, get tips on rear end strengthening. and............

Anything else I should cover with the pros?

I thought you were from Michigan? Where are you located now? Jackson seems like a long ways. Or is there a Jackson in Michigan?

She's not running 100%. There is a little hesitation, air fuel mix I think. Might be the gap on plugs are set for stock cobra, the dealership put them in 2 weeks ag and I am pretty sure that they set them for stock. I will go over all this with Paul's.

Good luck bro. Unfortunately that car is gonna be one little thing after another. Just what you have to deal with, with a modded out cobra. But fun when it is right.

It is still fun the way it is but I want it to be tip top shape. I might bring it down to 550-570 just to keep it under control. We will see how it goes. I will let everyone know after I get it done.

good luck, one bit of advice you should really sit back and think about is its not the final power number but reliability that matters. You want wiggle room for octane gas thats not up to par if you know what I mean... you want a bit of room so if something like bad gas or what not is found its not going to destroy the engine. Its always better to sacrifice 20hp or so to maintain a safer easier driving car... limits are fine for bragging rights but keep it in check and safe.

I met Paul back in 2007 at Norwalk Raceway Park (now Summit Motorsports Park) during the Mach 1 showdown event. He is an exceptional person to talk with and knows his stuff when it comes to the Mustang & tuning.

Hey Spec,
That is exactly what I was thinking. I want my car to last so bring the HP down 20-30 would be good!!! 565-575 is still pretty damn fast. It will pretty much come down to chatting with Paul and see what is best me for and my ideal Cobra. I want to kick the **** out of any Corvette that I come across, but i want it to be reliable as well.

Needless to say i am so excited to get her tuned.

Good old Norwalk!! Been there a few times! yes, I have heard nothing but good things about Paul and his shop. He knows his stuff for sure. Me and my buddy are both bringing our Cobras over to get work done this Friday. He has a 04 Torch red. We leave bright and early at 6am. Again i am just so excited to get my car where I want it to be for my style of driving.

I will let everyone know how it goes when I get back!
