Strut tower brace. necessary?

the new engine is fitting into my car well. but the strut tower brace is stopping me from running my intake. can it just stay off???

Yep, they're just for a little added body rigidity. It'll be fine without it.

awesome. i was getting ticked because the new path of the intake wasnt working. it was getting mashed between the engine and the brace. guess its scrap metal now lol

You can take it off. I have one on my car because it's an original kenny brown piece. I also could not add an aftermarket intake because of it.

well my old engine held the aftermarket intake fine. but im swapping up to an 01 motor and the throttle body is located in a little different spot.
