You would need a shortened or driveshaft from a 03/04 cobra being that the 5spd that came outta your car is shorter than the t56. You will need to lengthen the reverse light harness on the tranny since it is on opposite sides of the two trannies. And the t56 tranny mount. Is the t56 have the 26 spline input shaft? If so you will need a 26 spline clutch. You will also need the shifter for t56

Wow great help man I appreciate it. Looks a but expensive. But I've heard good things about the t56 tho. And I'm guessing it can take much more power than the one I have now too. So maybe that will be a future mod. Probably run around 5k right?

Depends on which t56 you want the one I bought was a used one from a friend who parted his car out and he put roughly 4k into it then I bought it a month later later then I wind up putting another 4 into it myself and the guy who built it both times says its good to 1000+ rwhp. T56 trannies are great transmissions another friend of mine had one behind his 800+ 5.4 and wasn't really streetable. But if your car is a mild build it will be great. This time next year my t56 will be up for sale.

I guess the main question is why you want a heavier transmission just to have one extra gear that isnt much different in final ratio from a 5 speed~

Most people want that extra gear for cruisin. I like my built t56 cuz 6 gear at 80mph I'm sitting at 2000 rpm's. It's a much durable trans and all the gear ratios are much better n a t56 than a t45 or 3650. The weight ain't much heavier. I'm just goin auto in mine. I'm not tryin to say your wrong but that's just my opinion on a 6 over a 5.

Well I've been trying to see all the steps to building a powerful and durable car because I plan on keeping my car for a while. And from what I see, the t56 is a better and more durable tranny than my t46. No?
