What's the purpose of the catback? Should it be off or leave em on? Regardless emissions tests. Pros an cons.

The cats (or catalytic converters) are in place to burn off any extra fuel that wasn't burned in the cylinders or caught by the EGR system, and to burn off other noxious gases, to ensure that it will not be released into the atmosphere. As far as emissions testing, that really just depends on your state.

A cat less exhaust offers highly exhaust flow and a louder sound because the cats are not there to slow things down.

Should you keep it? Won't make the car run worse but if you don't want it too loud then maybe you should keep them on. It just depends on what you want out of your pony
