Drone noise

When I hit 40mph a slight drone noise starts and lasts to 45mph, after that it's gone. The noise sounds like a ghost going oooooouuuuu. The gear I'm in doesn't seem to matter if trying to avoid the sound. It may be a bearing( hoping not ). Any thoughts? I don't know if these are related but when going from first to second, after the engine is warm, the shift can be really tough sometimes. Seems to always be when shifting below 3200rpms because above that the shift slides in easy. Are my synchro's bad?

Echo that. My Mac pro chamber & flows back generate a nice drone inside but I personally love it. F the radio IMO

I'm not sure about that honestly accept its the exhaust set up your running maybe. The tranny is weird at times when it's cold ... But it goes in gear no prob but has a ratching sound that goes away.

The exhaust is all stock so it's not an aftermarket possibility. The drone noise happens whether or not the car has warmed up and seems to only occur around 40-45 mph. About the shifter I think it's okay, it seems to be doin fine for some reason.

Prob because most speed limits you cruise at is 40-45 and the RPMs your running are causing it to drone. Is the car a auto or man?

The car is manuel. I'll drive it at 40-45 in 2nd but I think it will still drone. I'm pretty sure it's the mph itself and not the gear and rpm in relation to 40-45 mph.
