Quick questions with my first post

Hello all,

This is my first post on this forum and I have a couple of questions. As of right now, I am driving a 2011 Camaro (V6) 2LT/RS automatic (with a few mods ) and I am looking into trading for a 03-04 Cobra. Before anyone asks, I am trading to lower my monthly payments, I want more HP, and I want to own a Terminator. I have heard that there are some overheating problems with this engine. What is the easiest fix for this problem if it even is a problem anymore?

Also, I love to mod and to make my vehicle one of a kind. Do you guys have any suggestions as to what would be a good couple of first mods that are "necessary"?

Here are a couple of pics of my camaro that I will be trading.

Kind of an odd post, not gonna lie. Your car photos look like there of a painting or you took a picture of a magazine. How would you lower your mo. Payment going from a v6 camaro to a terminator? These cars, although are 10yrs. Old now, are not cheap unless you want one thats trashed....i mean trashed. I looked and looked online and didnt see a decent on for under 22k. Im not real into camaros, but how much can sixer be? As far as the heat issue, i have never heard of overheating. I do hear the blowers are called "Heatons" for good reason though. I understand that that can be cured by a better heat exchanger! I have had mine for bout 8 mos. Now and had neither of these issues.

Re: Quick questions with my first post

TONs and TONs of information is out there for 03/04 Cobras but I would recommend reading over this fully and it will answer most of them

Terminator FAQs

most issues are exaggerated or happen due to idiots that feel the need to run their car up to 160mph over and over etc. Overall the cars are good and have few issues other than valve ticket and bad coolant flow designs (and cheaper pistons vs their bullet proof rods) or the tight piston/cylinder clearances to keep initial cold start up knock down...

thats the main issue, heat hurts them more as the clearance is so tight and when the pistons get to hot they expand to much and BAM issues....

the fix is to install a cooling mod (the right one) like LDC but also just dont beat the crap out of it over and over and over lol.

Read over that FAQ and post up any questions it didnt answer. Ive owned my 03 cobra since 06
