Lol. You will only find 99 and 01 models. There was no 00 cobra, just a cobra r. Also no 02 cobras available to us market, only australia.

But to answer your question, no. Limit of stock internals is around 450 on a very safe tune.

Re: 99-02 cobras

Look for a 99/01 with a built engine if boost is your goal.

Why not just buy a 03/04. Already has the platform for more boost.

Re: 99-02 cobras

yea the 03/04 will cost more but the engine will go from the stock limit of 450 to 600-650~ and has a stock supercharger~ so 450-500rwhp is VERY easy/cheap to attain. They do weigh more though (3660 lbs for the coupe)

Re: 99-02 cobras

^ True...but the stock cobra motor will take way more abuse/power than 650...theyve seen, and done over 850rwhp, stock longblock.

A 99/01 will be cheaper...and if you have mech skillz, it might be cheaper in the end...if you build it yourself.

Re: 99-02 cobras

they will but for a daily driver 600-650 is about the limit, just like on a GT (05+) 400-450 is the safe limit. They will take more but over time it can cause issues etc, 600 is a good safe limit~

I wouldn't go so far as to say the limit for daily driving. As long as your tune is good and spot on, daily driving a high hp car has no effect on how long your parts will last as they are happy. Its the same myth I hear about nitrous ruining motors. Nitrous doesn't ruin motors, ppl and bad tunes ruin motors.

What issues happen over time? I mean everyones car/motor has a time limit...but that doesn't mean that the daily limit on a motor needs to be backed off cause at 600hp will last 100k and 800hp will last 1k. I just don't believe in that. Show me proof...
