Re: what's the differences in a 99 and 01 cobra

not much overall, some 99 cobras may not have the recall done on them (they were low on hp) vs the 01, but most should.

Not sure if the 01 got the upgraded IRS components that the 00 cobra R had that the 99 didnt~

the head unit should be different (dual din vs single)

Are the engines better in the 01? Like noticeable faster? better internals? I've been looking for an 01 but found a 99 that's a good price

The 99 had a recall to modify the intake manifold to bump power. The 01s basically had the same modification stock. Otherwise they are the same engine, I believe they both got the t3650 trans and would be a drivers race.

Re: what's the differences in a 99 and 01 cobra

can also consider a 03/04 mach 1~ as they have the same basic engine as 99 or 01 cobras.

I wouldnt pay much more than 10-12k for an 01 cobra since the 03/04 mach's can be had for 14-16k or an 03 cobra for 18k in good shape
