01 cobra

I've been looking at a 01 cobra with 20,000 miles and I'm wondering how hard it would be to make it make 450-500 rwhp and and around what it will cost. It has bassani cat backs and a short throw and cai not sure what kind and it comes with a diablo tuner that hasn't been put on it yet

Re: 01 cobra

It's gonna take boost or spray to get to 450 rwhp... Unless you plan on doing some serious engine work

but I would say get the car. they come with 320 base HP stock... and they respond well to bolt-ons. you won't regret the purchase. and 20k miles is awsome!

Those units are generally more expensive and harder on the motor. Probably looking closer to 10k finished for that

Kb bloeers are really a premium tier blower. You could piece together a tvs blower off a takeoff terminator cobra and you could get there with that for around 2 grand probably. They meet up to the lpwer intake manifold on your cobra too I believe. With a pulley swap and tune you could easily see 450hp. As a heads up I wouldn't trust that bottom end past that hp level.

+1

You can get a Terminator setup for much less than a centrifugal setup... and then all you need to turn the boost up is a pulley swap and a tune...

Re: 01 cobra

for the goal buy an 03/04 cobra vs 99-01 cobra and it will save you some cash. The motors in 99-01 peak at about 450-500rwhp anyway before needing to be rebuild, 450 would be a high limit for me (to maintain it being somewhat safe)

It's a eaton m112.

To do it right, eaton, plenum, tb, intake, intercooler, heat exchanger, piping, pump, wiring, lower intake, throttle cable, cable bracket, assorted vacuum lines, various electrical connectors, fuel pump(s), injectors, tuner, alot of free time, extra car for midnight part runs

O yeh, 03/04 alternator, not sure if your car is 8rib, if not all new pulleys, belt

Yeah, the eaton blower is the termi takeoff blower (I said tvs earlier mistakenly) you will need the blower, bigger injectors, timing cover, belts, cooler, upgraded fuel delivery, a new intake pipe and maf housing, and other misc parts. Budget 2500$ plus tuning.
