Mk. VIII Engine into a Fox?

Hey, guys.
I am thinking about dropping a Mk. VIII engine into my foxbody, it has nearly the same dimensions as a Cobra engine, right?
Do you know if I can use a mini brake booster with that setup, or will I have to convert to hydro brakes/manual brakes.

Opinions, please! =)

I believe you will need to switch braking systems. Along with k member. But the cobra motors are Mark Motors and are the same in dimension

Good deal! I was thinking no one was gonna answer me, lol.
Do you think it'd be easier to drop in my 98 v6? I have two mustangs and this engine sitting around...

Much easier with a sn95. There are some on here that have made that swap. There is a sticky for a Mark swap on this site under 96-04 section. It is for a New Edge but it is very similar. I myself have a Mark engine.

Okay, so the mark engine is basically a cobra engine minus the intake and little cam differences? Do you recommend the engine? Like is it reliable, any issues? Thank you so much, man.

Search my posts for 97 gt 32v swap. We have a lot of info overthere concerning the Mark engine as well as video. The Mark engine was first to appear in 93. The cobra came from the mark. A lot of guys will run the next gen cobra or mach setup on the teskid block. The engine is solid but depending on hp goals internals maybe changed. I myself built mine with forged internals but it isn't necessary if staying NA or juice. Or even 8-10lbs of boost even. The Mark has the same cam profile as the Mach. I do recommend the engine. As you can update it when you decide on goals.
