Gone straight now time for a change, Lets corner

ive dragged for all times, now after a comment made about my car, yeah its not as fast as he wishes, which is true I want her faster, but im pretty much topped off with bolt ons. All i need is a TB to be complete bolt on, plus a tuner to top it all off. Now the next step would be going forged then FI. But since that will be later down the road why not change up the game. Ive been thinking and talked to my brother awhile back about this move and ive decided to go towards suspension.

here are pretty much all im looking at now,

MM Bumpsteer kit----

Yes! I am looking to turn mine into a track car myself! The IRS was built for cornering, so that's what we shod be doing.

Look into the Full Tilt Boogie 5000 kit. It comes with all the IRS bushings to really help maintain traction and support during launches and cornering. Not to mention getting rid of anoying wheelhop.

Other than that, it looks like your list pretty much covers the rest.

Ftbr is definitely the way to go. Delrin will out perform any other bushing on the market.

Im running 255/45/17 up from and a 285/40/17 in back, 9" all around. Would this be a good set up for some corners?

How wide of a tire can I run up front in my 99?
How wide can I go in the rear with a 9" rim?
How would a 305 in the rear be for the corners?

I think you might be maxed out on a 9' rim with the 285. I ran 305 in the rear at the auto x and had no problem great traction but if you're lowered more than 1.5' you might have to roll you're fenders

I think im an 1" to 1" 1/2 wheel gap.
Kinda figured 285 was the widest,, as for rolling the fenders I heard I can go up to 335 then I would have to roll

I have 315's Nitto 555 in the rear on mine and I do not rub. Suspension mods are always a good mod, even for drag. Helps with weight transfer for traction. There is a low-profile subframe bolt you can buy to give a little more clearance for wider tires too. Good luck man. I'm doing a full rebuild this winter on mine too. Staying N/A.

My brother told me we could of built one but now he gave me the idea of building a STB, be a whole lot cheaper and custom

Nice. Yep same here staying N/A.
What size rim are you running?
Ima look into that for sure,
Could I stay with the current set up and find some good parts or would going coil over be better?

I have the 03 cobra wheels. 10.5 in the rear.

AM sells the low profile subframe bolt... I don't have it and my 315's don't rub... But my car is also lowered 2"... If I was to go with 335's... I'd definitely need the bolt. Just FYI.

Also... Coilovers are a must for improving handeling...

All about weight transfer... Stiff in front and soft in rear will transfer weight to the rear better under accel... But too extreme will create handeling issues.
