Well the 99 came with 320 at the crank like the 01s. So with what you listed I would guess around 300 at the wheels? Maybe a little more? And the 96-98 models probably like 250-270 at the wheels? Just a guess.

Small block Chevys are bad ass motors. Probably one the most well known motors in the world. They can compete with the cobras. Some even have more horsepower than the cobras but it mainly comes down to the driver in most situations. Please don't get a Camaro. They are ugly as sin

What do you mean bolton's? I was expecting my 99 Cobra w/ Exhaust, supercharger, etc to put out around 400 at the wheel. Is this unrealistic? Isn't a supercharger considered a bolton?

Ok, lol... New to high performance cars. I'm sure ill be asking a lot of questions. What can I expect out of a 99 cobra w/ supercharger, exhaust, and other bolt ons? Also, why are supercharges not considered bolt ons? Are they that complicated to install? What about a performance chip w/ tune? Are they considered bolt on? Most of what I know about modding comes from the high performance motorcycle world FYI.
Thanks

Thanks | It's all good man. Superchargers just don't bolt up an our done. You need, larger everything, cam, fuel injectors, fuel pump etc to make lot if power. Nama from American muscle makes good tunes and add that with bolt on maximizes the power out of every bolt on. SCT makes great tuners which are very easy to use. Just check out Americanmuscle.com. That's how I learned everything haha ---------- Post added at 08:46 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:46 PM ---------- A cobra with a blower would make about 400+ horsepower and add any bolt ons to that and ou make a lot of power!

I have a 97 with a cai, the timing adjuster, and full exhaust with flows ;(. I made 272/282 at the wheels out in Cali, however since then I've swapped out the headers and midpipe from Flowtech to BBK but have yet to have it dyno'd again.
