New Cobra Owner... With ABS issue

Hey guys, just got my hands on a 1999 Cobra SVT. Couldn't pass it up for the price and so far I'm loving the car. I'm having the typical ABS issue that is seen a lot on these mustangs, and I need to figure out how to diagnose this. Since I've had the mustang, the light is always on. I have never seen it flash, and it has never went away. I disconnected the battery and reset the ECU. The moment I started the car back up, the ABS light was back on. Should I figure this is a unit failure and not a wheel sensor issue. I would rather avoid paying ford $100 for diag. Any advice on what I should do next?

Some pics. The owner before me did some basic upgrades and gave me the ford service sheets. Not sure sure what half of this stuff is either.

Take it to a local shop and have them read what code it gives off and start from there. Or if you know someone with a code reader
