What's up guys and girls,
I've been a LONG time forum member, a 3 day SVT Cobra member. Wanted to say hello and put it out there that I just got my first 4.6 DOHC and know nothing but will master the engine in coming time. I am going to spend hundred of hours reading you guys's posts, but will need advice here and there, as I get the new car where i want it, mod-wise.
-First is suspension. I have installed my own suspension system that turned out perfect in every way. This Cobra needs springs and shocks/struts that are road comfortable.
-My plan right now, priority #1 is getting a set of BORLA XR1 Multicore mufflers. Cutting out stock mufflers and putting these in place for starters.
**Any comments regarding comfortable springs (I am installing Steeda X2 balljoints, C/C plates too) and any known issues to address, please help me out.
Thanks guys, love ya-
I got a white convert, 1997 Cobra stock, 73k miles, $5,000, mint shape, new roof.

The first mod I would recommend is a quality subframe connector system. Verts are much more prone to flex and it can cause major issues.
I have kenny brown double subframe connectors, matrix bracing and jacking rails. Team that with k member brace and strut tower braces and you have a good starting point.

OK, thanks. I will do that. The Mustang shop I use manufacture their own subframe connectors. I will definitely arrange that when they provide me my SCT tunes, which will be the next time I see them.

Team that with k member brace and strut tower braces and you have a good starting point. | I've been looking at either getting the subframe, matrix, and jacking rails from Kenny brown or starting with upper and lower subframes from griggs. I'm looking to get the griggs watts link so I'm kind of wary of buying different brands when it comes time to install. How do you like that set up you have?

I plan on making a couple of videos of the new exhaust when I get it back next Friday. I got the 9000 Series version. Spintech has several "Street PRO" variations. I can not find a 4.6 of any kind with the 9000 Series mufflers that have stock headers and cats. Most all you-tube video's have O/R mid-pipes. I suspect great results, we shall see!

NO. Thanks for asking. When I got there, the guy said the owner was the welder and he had to leave town (Last Friday). He still is not back from some emergency. But while I was there, I had them install Amsoil 5W-30 in the engine and Amsoil SG 75W-90 and friction modifier in the differential. Not a total waste of time but I'm waiting for him to get back.
