You won't really feel a 50 shot. 75 would be your best bet. Why are your mods? I had a 03 cobra 2 mustangs ago.

Is it on the stock block? How well do those stock blocks hold up to that kind of power and abuse?

The 03-04 cobra has a Manley rotating assembly. Rated at 1,000 hp. So around 800 to tires.

---------- Post added at 11:42 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:38 PM ----------

Stock block itself has been up to par with the rotating assembly itself. My old cobra sits at 585 to tires still. I sold it to my uncle, now has 78k on it still runs like a champ. Will have a 100 shot on it soon also.

Every 03-04 cobra has a forged rotating assembly from the factory. Forged crank with Manley rods/pistons.

They are beasts, a 75 shot is just a tickle, why don't you change the S/C pulley?

Yes nitrous will always yield more torque vs hp.

You running slicks? If not I wouldn't worry about broken axles

---------- Post added at 05:38 AM ---------- Previous post was at 05:37 AM ----------

If you are just running DR's than it shouldn't be a problem

You will break a halfshaft on the dr's and 2 step. Been there done that.

Either go built sra or slicks if you're gonna launch off the 2 step.

Also, please tell me you have the 26 spline input shaft upgrade or that may go before anything else.

Upgraded halfshafts will only help empty your wallet faster. They have the tendency to break just as fast.
