widest rear wheel

I have been searching for this answer for some time now. What would be the widest 17inch or 18inch wheel i could stuff under my car with the IRS or even a SA. I was wondering about 11 wide. But the offset was my biggest concern.

NT 555 285/35 18s on the back (285mm = 11.22 inches) I won't go any wider.

Not sure on the numbers. Irs and sra are almost identical though. I didn't notice any difference between my irs and sra with the same wheels/tires

Would a 315 BFG d.r fit a 10.5 wheel. From what I've read all I have to do is remove the quad shock and it should have no clearance issues, is this true?

My quad shocks are still connected and show no sign of rubbing.

It connected the axle to the rear of the wheel well to help prevent axle wrap and wheel hop. A halfway decent set of control arms fixes the problem much better.

I have debated copying the f bodies and do a torque arm setup...works well on those

Met the guy in my town wit a terminator and he has 10.5 wide rear on 315/35/17 and they were sooooo close to the inner wheel well where the IRS mounts to the subframe.
