Thanks guys I just picked up the bama tuner for my 97 cobra. When I turn on though the idle needle stays at 1000rpm for like 3 seconds then drops and when I give it gas the needle stays at 1000 rpm then drops is that normal ? I had a friend mess with something with the throttle a while back but idk what he did

Probably the tune turn ur car back to stock and see if it fixes it. Ive gotten bad tunes from bama many of times got to where it was a waste of my time so I got someone to dyno tune my car instead. I wouldnt let bama tune my bicycle.

You can request new tunes if you got tunes for life. I run 93 tune full time. If it seems like something is not right, wait until they open Monday morning and give them a call. Make sure if you are going to do new tunes by email, before you do anything else, return your stock tune to your car.

I've never had a problem with Bama. On there tunes they have a warm up cycle that takes 30 sec or so and then it lowers the idling rpms. If its not idling high enough for you, give them a call and they with make a custom tune to your specifications.

Yes the Race tune is perfectly safe to run on your car all on the time. Just be conscious of the aggressive throttle response and you won't run into any issues at all!

Please let me know if you ever have any questions or need some further assistance. Our Bama Performance tuning specialists are here in the building Monday-Friday from 9AM-5:30PM EST and Saturday 9AM-5:30PM EST. You can hit them up directly at 888.226.9764 and they'll get you squared away!

I bet you have their launch control thingy. My race tune with the launch control thing does this too for the first week or so after flashing. Wouldn't worry about it.

Thanks Amdanbailer is there a way to fix the idle I think someone messed with the throttle body when im on my stock tune I hit the gas and the rpm needle goes up and stays like at 1200 rpm for like 3 seconds than it goes back to normal only when I hit the gas it does that ....and when I put the race tune when I hit the gas it goes a little higher like at 1600 rpm than goes down to normal .. Is there something I can adjust at the throttle body?
