Looking into getting a short throw shifter and the SR on AM is on sale and has good reviews on AM. Any one on here have it? Or what do you guys reccomend.I have a 99 cobra. Thanks for responses.

I have to urge you to look into MGW Ivan. For around $190, I'm sure it's not too much more expensive than the SR. But I'm sure the SR will be a vast improvement over the OEM shifter if you go that route.

I'd suggest against it, I owned mine for 2 months than randomly one day at a light I could not get it into ANY gear, it had an abnormal "wobble" to it..had to get it towed to local mechanic, thankfully I still have stock shifter in my trunk, he threw the stock shifter back on and it drove fine after 20 miles or so, called my mechanic not thinking and said just chuck it in the trash, so of course when I contacted AM a few days later there was nothing they could do because I chucked it, so just keep in mind, for an extra 40$ bucks or so, get a quality shifter like mgw so you won't ever run into a problem like me and be out the price of a shifter, so essentially my MGW cost almost 300$ bucks because I attempted to cheap out the first time around

Yea man I was HEATED when it happened, and I 100% do not beat my car or power shift or anything to that sort , it's a DD that I go to work and back in, maybe will see 4k rpm once a week , and it just crapped out on me, was very very disappointed, main reasoning for getting the SR is because AM doesn't sell MGW and at the time I was buying EVERYTHING from am because of there location and shipping, oh well, my fault for chucking it but I wasn't thinking because I was just happy the tranny was shifting smoothly again..and not to mention the price of towing etc lol

Nothing against AM, any product can fail especially mass produced products, but just letting you know my experience, no AM bash here, I still support them, was just a bit disappointed with my situation

My pleasure. You won't be disappointed. Unfortunately I'll be out of town for the next autocross, but I should be able to make the next event on the 5th of next month. How about you?

Very cool. I still haven't had the time to reformat my videos and post them to YouTube.
