Well heres the long awaited update on the motor and the car. The machine shop has had the motor since mid June come to find out I had several lifters sieze up, 4 rockers fell out and 7 bent intake valves on the driver side head. So I had him go through both heads and check everything out and just those three issues on the one head. The block bored out nice, crank polished out and heads are back together and are straight. Pistons and rods are hung and rings were filed and marked. Ive put the pumps in the tank and ran the fuel supply and return lines. Will have the motor back next week when I get back from the field and ill be reassembling the motor next weekend. Cant wait to get to driving her again.

Try advance auto they have quite a few colors. Got the motor back today looks nice but ran into some problems tonight. The machine shop through away my main bearings so now I have to wait till Tuesday to get the new ones in. So I decided to put the pistons in and went to remove the arp connecting rod bolts and they are a multi point head and I dont have the right socket to fit so now its off to the store tom to find one

Ok sorry guys I haven't been keeping yall updated lately so heres whats up. Started assembling the block and had issues rotating the crank after a week or so of trying to work around all these storms, the machine shop came the the conclusion that I was given the wrong main bearings which were thicker than the oem ones. So ill be getting the new one tom from advance auto. Hopefully ill have the whole block assembled tom afternoon maybe have the heads on as well. And if anyone has any insight on wiring up twin pumps for return style that would be a big help. Ill post progress pics for you guys

Finally the much anticipated moment for anyone more so for me. Well finally I am assembling the motor this weekend. I have been on the hunt for the correct main bearings having 3/4 wrong sets. So I choked up and ordered some from mmr last week. Got started assembling everything Friday afternoon. Got the bearings and crank in and torqued down. Pistons, rods and rings are in their home. I got the heads mated to the nice and clean block via arp head studs. Just in the process of timing the engine and the heads. Hopefully I'll get that finished tomorrow. I'm hoping to have it completed and in the car on Monday. Then soon as I get this tax return back I'll be giving red tuning a call and het this beast tuned. So that's where I'm at right now.
