1999 cobra vs 2002 gt

Hello, I recently found a 1999 cobra that a kid didn't know how to work his clutch. He was wanting to trade me for my automatic 2002 gt. I was hoping you guys can help me decide. I know that the gt is a 2v and cobra is 4v. But other than that What's different? Should I do it?

in a heartbeat as long as it's not completely trashed...however replacing the clutch would be a small price to pay for a car that has a good 50+ hp stock for stock and has a much better modding platform..plus it sounds better

Go for it as long as it's in good condition. You get a extra 40HP in that trade.

What about that recall with the 99? Is ford still allowing owners to bring there's in to be fixed?

There are very few that have not been fixed. I bet this one has been done. But I doubt they still do the fix...

bc even with full exhaust/ boltons and a 100 shot you would only be where a bolton 5.0 is.

He's probably got a blower on it and full bolt ons. The blower alone would put it over a stock '14 gt.

Ok first all the work was done before I got the car by Valentine Performance second I am not sure the hp but what I know for a fact is nothing besides that 2011 Cobra has gotten me yet. The innercooler I am honestly not sure about maybe u guys know I hear a whining like a SC going with the rpms and it spools down behind the dash when I shut off the car. We can talk all day on here have all the pissin matches poke fun be trolls or whatever but for me what it comes down to is we're Mustangers one and all! I know what my car will do I am a drivin MF but my tech knowledge is back puttin a new clutch in my buddies GTX when I was 13 in the '70s holdin the tranny on my chest. So I'm not as knowledgeable as I'd like to be I don't know all that's been done to my snake I do know what's been put in the rear view so peace my fellow motorheads any help on wth is sounding like a SC would be appreciated. The GTs that keep jackin with me must allllll be baaad drivers yeah that's it!!

I know its not supercharged I only know after 37 years of driving hot rods from GTXs to GTAs to 67 GTOs to Vettes to Z3 roadsters etc etc etc that it is a beast. I didn't do the mods I know it blows my buddys Pro Charged 05 GT off the road I wish I knew what all the mods are because they knew what they were doing what I was asking is there is a whine that goes with the rpm and spools down (not the fan switch is in glove box or heater fan either) behind the dash when I shut it off.

Smh... Even with those heads ported and a bumped up compression ratio at most you're making 385 crank hp. At best 335 to the wheels. Your biggest performance gain came from the steeper rear gears and the 6 speed trans. A intake tune 3.73 gear 5.0 would be a good 2 - 3 car lengths ahead of you in the 1/4.
